Sildenafil

Sildenafil is a prescription drug that mainly treats erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult males. It contains sildenafil citrate, a PDE5 inhibitor. In order to help establish and sustain a hard erection, sildenafil increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. Under several brand names, it is also occasionally recommended to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). For safe and efficient therapy, sildenafil should only be taken as prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
